The Face Shop's Span Oil Control Pre-Make Up Review

Hi everyone! Long time no blog! Ah... how I missed it...

Today, I have another beauty product review for all of you (I haven't done one in forevah). I will be reviewing a discontinued product from The Face Shop. It is from their Span line. I mentioned this product in my haul.

Front of tube
Back of tube

This product is mean to absorb sebum and minimizes shine and helps with staying power of your makeup. It works like a primer. It comes in a 30 mL tube.

It doesn't really spread easily and it says to only get a small amount and spread evenly but the amount I get doesn't seem to cover the parts I want to put it on. I usually put this on on my T-zone and the middle of face and my chin. It does absorb the sebum and makes putting on BB cream easier and the finish look looks matte and clean.

I must say though, it does not last too long. By the time I get home, I am an oily mess once again. I'll say it lasts about 3-4 hours?

Like I said before, it is discontinued so I've been looking for other alternatives. As you may know, I am an oil control freak.

Overall rating: 3/5
Smell: 4/5
Texture: 2/5
Oil Control: 3/5

Pros: It gives you a very clean, matte looking finish after putting on BB cream
Cons: It doesn't last long enough! )=

Will I buy again? Probably not... I'm looking into other alternatives.

Happy reading! (=

P.S. What do you guys think of the labels? Should I keep it? Yay or Nay? Leave your feedback below in the comments! (=

*I was not paid to review this product. I bought this product with my own money*

G.N.O | Saturday, September 1, 2012 | Seaport & Bambu

Our Hot Pot. Selca-ing in Bambu. The girls.
Hi everyone! Happy Sunday, I just wanted to blog about my amazing outing last night. (=

So every Saturday, me, my cousins, and my aunts go out somewhere to either watch a movie or eat someplace new. Yesterday, we went to Seaport Seafood & Hot Pot. It's a little like Boiling Crab but it has Hot Pot! This location has been changed to so many different names but always had Hot Pot.

So we have to eat on the table (if you guys have been to these kind of seafood places, you know). They give you gloves and a bib to wear because it WILL get MESSY but that's the fun of it.

We had some shrimp with 2 different flavors, and my favorite was the beef Hot Pot! It was SPICY and I LOVED it.
I look pretty ridiculous in the first box. Yay lime+peace.
Crawfish. Putting on that bib.
I tried crawfish for the first time. It was really weird to eat. OH NO I forgot to take a picture of my Dungeness Crab! Our waiter was great she was patient with a big group of 9 and was very kind. The other workers as well was great. (Check this place out).

I posted these pictures on my instagram, if you don't follow me yet... you should! (=

So after dinner we went to Bambu which was like next door for some dessert.

It was a pretty cold night so I went with Hot Chocolate. Their hot chocolate had a different taste compared to others I've tried and I've tried lots. It was pretty good but can't beat Starbucks...

I can't wait for next week, we're going to Boracay... Grill. HAHA talk to you guys soon!

Happy reading. (=

Fashion and Beauty Haul | Ross, Marshalls, & TheFaceShop

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday... actually not really because it's school tomorrow! AHHH... Well for today I have a haul for you guys. I did a good amount of shopping this week and I'd like to share with you guys what I got.

Today, I went to The Face Shop and you guys should already know how much I love that place. Today I got a primer. You know I'm always for making my face looking matte so I got an oil control make up base. Ever since school started, I don't have time to touch up with my powder during school so I wanted something that'll keep my face oil free even with powder and bb cream. I also got a White Mud nose pack. I wanted a cream type instead of a strip. And of course you gotta love The Face Shop freebies!

On to the clothes! I bought these tops from Ross for under 10$ each (what a great deal). My clothes are getting darker since it is getting colder. The striped one is a bit knit but the long sleeve is a thin fabric. The long sleeve is very plain and simple but I like the little zipper-like pocket on the side. I love stripes even though it is said it makes one look fat but as long as it's big stripes that's fine!

I bought this one in Marshalls for a bit more expensive than the last two. I was a bit hesitant to buy this because it's orange and I don't really have much color in my wardrobe but black, gray, brown, white, etc. but I thought why not and bought this. I bought it in M when I usually buy clothes a size bigger than I really am. I am a lot more comfortable in a size large. When I wore this it fit perfectly but a little tight around my arms (my problem area) but that's fine, I can rock this with a cardigan hehe.

OOTD: I Survived the First 2 Weeks!

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I wanted to take a picture of my outfit everyday of the first week but everytime I got home, I changed and went to sleep... BUT today I took the time to picture my outfit.

So let's start of with my top. I ABSOLUTELY love this top! It is a flowery designed laced white to nude color. I got this top in Forever 21 for like less than 20$ I don't really remember how much it was... But yeah! I love this top and I wear a nude-ish brown tank, also from Forever, inside.

Now to the bottom. I usually wear this with like gray shorts but since I really can't wear shorts at school I'm wearing a dark blue jeans from Levi's. These are new jeans and I love the fitting especially now that I lost some weight and my size got smaller, the length isn't that long!

It's not in the picture but I wore my pink Lucky Brand ballet flats. I'll try to get a picture of that soon!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.

Comment and share if you want some more OOTD's in the future (=
