My Skin Care Routine (Day&Night)

Hi everyone! Today I'll be sharing my everyday skin care routine step by step (=

I have the same routine for morning and night with the exception of the pre-makeup step. I always start my skin care routine AFTER I shower. So, let's get started!

STEP 1: Get your hair out of your face whether it be tying it up or using a hair turban.

Excuse the swollen face, I've been eating way too much this winter break...

 STEP 2: Cleanse! 

I use TFS' Green Tea Phyto Powder Cleansing Foam. I've reviewed this awhile back. I get an adequate amount on my fingers then spread it on my face in a circular motion all over. I avoid the eye area.

 STEP 3: Wipe dry.

 STEP 4: Toner. 

I use TFS' E'thym Balancing Toner. Dispense some on a cotton pad and wipe on face outwards.

STEP 5: Mosturize! 

I use TFS' E'thym Moisture Lotion. Get an adequate amount on face and I personally apply it in a circular motion but it says to apply outwards. 

 STEP 6: Pre-makeup/Sunscreen. 

When I'm not going anywhere I just apply sunscreen but if I am going somewhere and I want to apply some BB cream/foundation, first sunscreen, second my SPAN oil control pre-makeup and then my BB cream.

I'm not going anywhere special today so I didn't apply any makeup. I will make a separate post on that soon!

The Face Shop's Span Oil Control Pre-Make Up Review

Hi everyone! Long time no blog! Ah... how I missed it...

Today, I have another beauty product review for all of you (I haven't done one in forevah). I will be reviewing a discontinued product from The Face Shop. It is from their Span line. I mentioned this product in my haul.

This product is mean to absorb sebum and minimizes shine and helps with staying power of your makeup. It works like a primer. It comes in a 30 mL tube. 

It doesn't really spread easily and it says to only get a small amount and spread evenly but the amount I get doesn't seem to cover the parts I want to put it on. I usually put this on on my T-zone and the middle of face and my chin. It does absorb the sebum and makes putting on BB cream easier and the finish look looks matte and clean.

I must say though, it does not last too long. By the time I get home, I am an oily mess once again. I'll say it lasts about 3-4 hours?

Like I said before, it is discontinued so I've been looking for other alternatives. As you may know, I am an oil control freak.

Pros: It gives you a very clean, matte looking finish after putting on BB cream

Cons: It doesn't last long enough! )=

Will I buy again? Probably not... I'm looking into other alternatives.

Blue and Yellow Polka Dot Nails | DIY Dotting Tool

Did you guys ever wanted to do something else with your nails other than plain coloring but don't have the tools to create designs?

Well, I'm here to tell you how to create your own dotting tool for this look!

Things you'll need:

• 2 different colored nail polish that compliments each other. 
• Mechanical pencil (not pictured)

Steps:

1. Paint 4 fingers (your choice) with 1 color.
   *Remember, depending on the quality of the nail polish, coats vary*
2. Paint 1 finger (your choice) with the 2nd color. 
3. Apply top coat on all fingers
4. I like to apply top coat even on the nail I am going to design so it protects what you already did.
5. Get a plastic type of plate (not pictured) and put a dab of the color you want to create the dots with on the plate.
6. Take your mechanical pencil and swirl it in the color
7. Slightly and carefully dot your nail in a diagonal way for an even spacing

YOU'RE DONE! It's very simple but I hope you enjoyed this DIY-ish dotting tool for those who don't want to buy one. Remember dot size depends on the size of the pencil and amount of nail polish you dabbed.

Fashion and Beauty Haul | Ross, Marshalls, & TheFaceShop

Hi everyone! Happy Sunday... actually not really because it's school tomorrow! AHHH... Well for today I have a haul for you guys. I did a good amount of shopping this week and I'd like to share with you guys what I got.




Today, I went to The Face Shop and you guys should already know how much I love that place. Today I got a primer. You know I'm always for making my face looking matte so I got an oil control make up base. Ever since school started, I don't have time to touch up with my powder during school so I wanted something that'll keep my face oil free even with powder and bb cream. I also got a White Mud nose pack. I wanted a cream type instead of a strip. And of course you gotta love The Face Shop freebies!

On to the clothes! I bought these tops from Ross for under 10$ each (what a great deal). My clothes are getting darker since it is getting colder. The striped one is a bit knit but the long sleeve is a thin fabric. The long sleeve is very plain and simple but I like the little zipper-like pocket on the side. I love stripes even though it is said it makes one look fat but as long as it's big stripes that's fine!

I bought this one in Marshalls for a bit more expensive than the last two. I was a bit hesitant to buy this because it's orange and I don't really have much color in my wardrobe but black,gray,brown,white,etc. but I thought why not and bought this. I bought it in M when I usually buy clothes a size bigger than I really am. I am a lot more comfortable in a size large. When I wore this it fit perfectly but a little tight around my arms (my problem area) but that's fine, I can rock this with a cardigan hehe.

One Day Till School

It's Aug. 12 already meaning I have one more day to stay up late, wake up early, and do whatever I can till school starts again. It hasn't really hit me yet but I know one thing's for sure, I am far from being ready or excited to be at school for 6 hours with people I don't like.

I want to go to all my classes and see who's there and never come back. Something about new classes make me look forward to the 1st day of school.

I'll be posting my choices of first day of school outfits tomorrow or tonight. I hope you readers help me choose! (:

School?! | Tips On How to Take Care of your Face: High School Student Edition

Eek... School is coming around the corner and I'm so not prepared! School stresses me out = pimples.

I got this idea from beautyindistress.blogspot.com to talk about how to take care of you face during school time when most people are under the most stress.

1. Keep up with your skin care routine! 

• Never skip a day without doing your everyday usual routine because you are tired or stressed out because of school work. Always leave some time for yourself.

2. Meditate!

• Meditating is great for you and your skin! So take a couple minutes and just sit and clear your mind.

3. Drink lots of water!

• You should drink up to 8 glasses of water. First step to good skin is a well hydrated skin. (you really will see a difference)

4. Sun protection!

• Always put sunscreen not just on your face but your whole body. Try to at least have SPF 30. Walking to and from classes all day, you are exposed to sun. Your skin needs protection!

5. Eat healthy!

• Food at school aren't the healthiest out there! Food is a big factor in breaking out. Eating junky, greasy food is an instant trigger to pimples. So why not pack a home made healthy lunch?

6. Make up cleanliness!

• I always see my fellow classmates sharing make up and that can share bacteria, especially eye make up! Clean your make up brushes ect. NEVER sleep with make up on wash it off before a good night sleep.

7. Get sleep!

• I know you can have so much HW due the next day so start right when you get home so you can sleep early and get at least 8 hours of sleep!

I hope these tips help you and your skin but always remember to keep those grades up! Even out your lifestyle and it will get easier!

TheFaceShop's Green Tea Phyto Powder in Foam Cleanser's New Packaging?

Hey everyone! I just wanted to update you guys. So my other face wash was actually in old packaging! I didn't know until I restocked and here's the new one! I've heard it's the international version? I don't know haha!

TheFaceShop's FACE it Oil Cut Powder Pact Review

Hi everyone! I'm back with another make up review. This product is from The Face Shop's line FACE it. It is their Oil Cut Powder Pact.

The one I have comes in the shade of NB 23. It is their darkest shade.I used to use a Johnson and Johnson powder pact I got from the Philippines, ever since elementary school, to keep my face matte because I get SUPER OILY but since I was getting into TheFaceShop, I said "why not try their powder pact?". It was one of the greatest decisions I've made! I've been using this powder pact for about 5-6 months. (These pictures were taken right when I purchased it)

On the back there is this English quote:

"Double-lasting Powder coated in two layers to facilitate perspiration and sebum resistance prevents sheen and dull complexion and maintains the freshness of initial make-up for a long period. Particles in ultra fine texture adhere to the skin delicately to make it appear fair and smooth.

Oil-Cut Complex: A patented phyto-complex containing mung bean extract, birch extract and curly dock extract to prevent skin problems by controlling sebum production."

It's supposed to be for pore/blackhead problems. I really like how it's oil cut so it doesn't break me out. 

This comes with an applicator and I use this instead of a powder brush because it gives me better coverage. This is just perfect for my skin because it matches my skin tone a lot better than my old powder. You can't really tell I'm wearing anything on my face but it does give of a smoother natural looking face.

It does what it says it does. I keeps my sebum free for a couple of hours. I don't retouch a lot because it can last me about a whole school day. It keeps my most T-Zone oil free.

It has a flowery kind of smell. It smells cute (you know what I mean!). It also doesn't cake up so it applies very nicely and keeps your face baby smooth.

This has a yellowy base so perfect for those asian skin but it also works towards those fair skinned people like me even though this shade is still a bit too light for me...

Pros: It keeps me oily free for a long period of time.

Cons: It is still a tad bit to light for my skin.

The Face Shop's Green Tea Phyto Powder in Foam Cleanser Review

Hi everyone! thank you for all your support and views. Sorry I haven't done any reviews... But here's a new one.

Today I'll be reviewing TFS's Green Tea Phyto Powder in Foam Cleanser!

I've been using this as my face wash for 6 months now. I always look for a green tea type of face wash. As it says on the front of the bottle, this is for oily to combination skin type.

After using it for a day, I can already see a difference. My mom has sensitive skin so she uses the Olive Oil one but one day, she forgot it somewhere and she used mine. She said green tea is still better.

This comes in a 100 mL(?) bottle.

This is the first step of my daily skin care routine. I just use my hand to spread all over my face in a circular motion. Every 3 days I use a exfoliator scrub pad from the Body Shop (not pictured). Exfoliating your face is good!

It has a nice scent and actually, the first couple times I used it, my face smelled like tea like I'd be sitting im class and I can totally smell my face. It's a good smell not like a strong irritating smell.

It doesn't have any beads and spreads very well. My face is still a bit oily but not as oily as before.

Pros: It is meant for oily to combination skin
Cons: I can't really find a bad thing about this product!

Will I buy again? OF COURSE! If the branch here isn't out of stock like they always do. They say its a bestseller!

The Face Shop's Clean Face Oil-Free BB Cream Review

This is the second BB cream I've tried and I LOVE it. I've been using this for about a month and a half. I was looking for a BB cream that doesn't make my face look oily at the end of the day and guess what?! this was it! It comes in 35 ml bottle.

I wear this over sunscreen/moisturizer for a more cleaner look but you can put foundation or powder over it for full coverage (which I also do). The The Face Shop Clean Face Oil Free is an oil free bb cream designed for people with trouble skin. I for one am not very acne prone but this does prevent them from coming.

It has a light, natural coverage that gives off a natural glow. It has very low coverage so I would recommend this to someone with no acne or blemishes, because it has low coverage.

The only thing I don't like about this is that it has no SPF ): So make sure to wear some type of sunscreen over on under the BB cream. The texture was creamy and easy to spread.

Pros: helps prevent acne, not oily, gives off a clean finish.
Cons: No SPF, low coverage.
Will I buy it again?: YES! Love how it controls my oily skin.

Sorry no actual example on my face because I already put BB cream and powder on my face. Next time I'll do a morning skin care routine blog.
